Food as indicators
The presenter explains how common foodstuffs can be used as indicators. For example, cherry juice turns purple in the presence of an alkali. Beetroot juice and blackcurrant juice can also be used, but the best is red cabbage. This turns pink in the presence of acid and green in the presence of alkali.
