The River Clyde from source to sea
The location of the River Clyde is shown on a map of the Central Lowlands of Scotland. The river is followed from its source to the sea. The Clyde is about 170km in length and drops 600m on its journey to the sea. The last part of the river is navigable but the beginning of the river is famous for a spectacular set of waterfalls, the Falls of Clyde. The terms 'source' and 'upstream' are explained.
