The kingdom of Dalriada
The Scotti people are introduced with their kingdom of Dalriada and its centre of power at Dunadd in Argyll. They were divided into family groups called kindreds, who were ruled by an overking. They had their own structures of power and systems of tribute and taxation. Scotti craftmanship, including methods of jewellery-making, are demonstrated by a modern-day silversmith.
