In the Alps, the region of South Tyrol used to belong to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. But following the First World War it was ceded to Italy. Today the population is split between native German and Italian speakers and the region has a large degree of autonomy from Rome. But do they feel Italian? Bethany Bell finds out.

Mattia Cabitza has seen a group of missionaries in action in Peru- bringing healthcare to a number of isolated communities by boat. But our correspondent wonders whether giving medicine should go hand in hand with sermons and reading from the Bible.
