Overcoming friction
Femi joins a rugby team training with a scrum machine. Two people can push the empty machine, overcoming the frictional force between the grass and the sledge. However, when two rugby players stand on the sledge the frictional force increases, and it eventually takes six people to apply enough force to overcome it.
