How long does it take light to travel from the Moon to Earth?
The presenter calculates the time it takes light reflected off the Moon to reach our eyes. The Moon is 400,000 km from Earth and the speed of light is 300,000 km/s. Time taken is given by distance divided by speed. This is 400,000 km divided by 300,000 km/s, or approximately 1.3 seconds.
