The day I saw the Titanic
Memories of the Titanic - interviewee John Parkinson talks about his father's role as a joiner in the shipyard where she was built. Mr Parkinson remembers being taken to see the ship propped on the slipway. He describes watching the liner sail up Belfast Lough on the day she set sail on her fateful journey. Parts of the interview are accompanied by archive images of the ship and a dramatisation of father and son on the slipway.
