A class of students interview the author Michael Morpurgo who explains how he collects his ideas from all the different places he has visited. The author reads an atmospheric extract from the opening of his book, 'The Ghost of Grania O'Malley'. The class teacher talks to the students about atmospheric writing and asks them to write a story called 'The Night'. The clip ends with a boy in the class, Danny, struggling to come up with ideas for his story.
