Can the right frequency and amplitude break glass?
This clip investigates what happens when a wine glass is subjected to high amplitude sounds at a frequency similar to the natural frequency of the glass. The experiment is conducted in a special soundproofed chamber because of the harmful amplitude of the sound, with a strobe light used to see movement in the glass.
