Who has power in Holyrood?
A total of 17 cross party committees inform and influence the decisions of the Scottish Executive and MSPs. The Scottish Parliament has a very low representation of ethnic minorities among MSPs (none in 2003, and only one as of 2007). Compared to Westminster, the proportion of woman members is relatively high. This clip should be viewed in the context of the make up of the Scottish Parliament and executive as they were in 2003.
