Time traveller Eon Straddler and his hapless assistant take three short trips back in time. They include a pre-history focus on Ancient Rome and Victorian England before coming back to the present day. Wherever they stop, they consider the evolution of the hat from an article of clothing that could save your life, to a fashion statement for both men and women. In a light-hearted and humorous approach, we learn about the contextual and stylistic influences on both the 'look' and function of the hat and, ultimately, how the technology and materials available at the time impacted upon the outcome of the product.
