The freezing winters of Northern Canada
Presenter Kate Humble goes to Yellowknife to experience the freezing cold of a Canadian winter. She鈥檚 there to see why it鈥檚 still getting colder in January, even though the winter is past its peak. By talking to ice road truckers she finds out that the ice gets thicker in January because Earth continues to lose heat energy faster than it's replaced by the Sun for several weeks after mid winter.
