Video games used for training the Royal Navy
Products and designed systems have been passed back and forth between the military and the mainstream market for many years. One current example is video games. We look at a serious game which is being designed and produced by a team at the University of Birmingham. Subsafe is a repurposed video game which has been developed to train submariners to find their way around a submarine. Interviews with both the developers and the end users explain the process and pitfalls.
