Keeping active - training at an athletics track
Barnaby Bear is at the athletics track where Tanni Grey-Thompson is training in her wheelchair. She won her last two paralympic gold medals in Athens in 2004. Barnaby admits he doesn't really like to do anything sporty but as it is 'Active Week' he is trying to find some activities he can do. So far he has not found anything active he likes doing. Tanni explains how at school she tried basketball, which she liked, and swimming, which she did not enjoy. Then she tried racing and really liked it. They talk a bit about Tanni taking part in the Paralympics and her training schedule. She suggests Barnaby should try to do something active every day like walking to school, running around the playground and playing football. She encourages Barnaby Bear to do this every week and not just for 'Active Week'.
