A young girl performs 'The Listeners' by Walter de la Mare at a poetry recital
Alexandra, a young girl, recites 'The Listeners' by Walter de la Mare in front of a large audience. She performs the poem with a great deal of expression and gets through to the final of a poetry competition. We then see her preparing at home. She talks about how she learned the poem and imagines herself as the characters when she performs. Her parents talk about how she has become a lot less shy than she used to be. Finally, we see her winning a recital competition at her local library.
