The Battle of Falkirk
After great success at the Battle of Stirling Bridge, William Wallace's army once again faces the English. This time, Wallace's men suffer a bloody defeat at the Battle of Falkirk. Scotland is broken, it loses the support of France and Wallace resigns as Guardian. These were dark times for Scotland and its people.
