Neither side says it wants confrontation - but the battle lines have been drawn. The Justice Minister wants to cut the legal aid bill for civil cases. That means, as a first step, reducing the number of barristers used in cases such as divorce and child custody hearings. But barristers say their input is essential and reject any claim they're overused. The Minister, David Ford goes head to head with leading barrister, Mark Mulholland.
