Alan Aldridge, who appears in the programme, created the film poster for Andy Warhol's movie Chelsea Girls, for which there was briefly a warrant for his arrest. Justin de Villeneuve, born Nigel Jonathan Davies, enjoyed a "very luxurious war" as an evacuee at the home of JB Priestley, who dined with the children in his care every Sunday night. "There was silver at meal times. It gave me a taste for better things."
