Standardising Islamic Finance
Today Business Daily has been looking at attempts to standardise Islamic finance, the rising economic power of China and what you can do to get your dream job.
The Islamic finance industry is estimated to be worth over $1.3 trillion globally and its said to be expanding - not just in Muslim countries but around the world. This, however, is presenting its own problems as there are many different interpretations of Islamic law, but can they be standardised? Lesley Curwen hears how it works in Malaysia, where the government works closely with banks and we also hear from the 大象传媒's Sam Olukoya from Nigeria, where mixing religion and commerce throws up other issues.
Concerns about China's increasing economic power are raised, as the writers of China's Silent Army, Juan Pablo Cardenal and Heriberto Ara煤jo speak to Lesley Curwen.
The programme also hears from Ramit Sethi, who gives Business Daily some thoughtful advice on where and how to get your perfect job.
