Anne McElvoy talks to Aleksandar Hemon, the Bosnian-born writer who some have been comparing to Nabokov and Conrad. His latest work, The Book of My Lives, is his first venture into non-fiction and it combines the feel of a fractured autobiography with a meditation on the healing power of words.
