Early history of the miners union in the South Wales coalfield from its creation in the 1880鈥檚. Originally called "The Fed", it grew to become the NUM of today. Presenter Patrick Hanaan looks at the role of Keir Hardie in its creation and the importance of its first president - the legendary 'Mabon'.
