Tracing my Irish Jamaican roots – Nottingham
St Patrick’s Day in Nottingham was host to its 14th colourful annual parade from the Forest Recreation Ground in Hyson Green to Market Square. The city is home to one of the largest mixed-race populations outside of London. Nottinghamshire poet, Michelle Hubbard, who was born in the 1960s to an Irish mother and Jamaican father, retraces her journey of family discovery with Reya El-Salahi.
