Boots and Routes – a mile in their shoes to Nottingham
You'll never truly understand someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes - or so the saying goes. And the idea is the inspiration behind an exhibition in Nottingham. Boots and Routes, exhibiting at the Castle and the Yard Gallery, tells the story of how people from around the world have come to call this city their home, by focusing on the shoes that brought them here. Sudanese born Iman Soloum is one of the people who donated her shoes, and Juliet Line helped set up the Boots and Routes exhibition. Here they tell ´óÏó´«Ã½ Nottingham’s Reya El-Salahi of the journeys behind them.
