Remembering the first Doctor
The actor William Hartnell, best known as the first ever Doctor Who, is remembered by his co-stars Peter Purves and Carole Ann Ford.
The Reunion with Sue MacGregor brings together the launch team and its early cast to recall the difficulties of getting the Time Lord on air in 1963.
Purves played the Doctor鈥檚 long suffering assistant Steven Taylor in 44 episodes, whilst Ford was in the very first broadcast (The Unearthly Child) as his grand-daughter Susan Foreman.
