Examining ethnic exclusion in Reading

Figures from Reading Borough Council show Black Caribbean pupils are twice as likely as other pupils to be identified as having behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
Mixed race children from the Black Caribbean/White community are four times as likely to be excluded.
Michelle (not her real name) lives in Reading and she explains the situation with her daughter who experienced temporary exclusions at the age of 8 but says she feels her race may have contributed to her punishment.
