Calculating hours, minutes and seconds (signed)
A real life time problem set in the context of a zoo. If a zoo keeper is at work between 8am and 6pm, how many seconds does he spend at work each day? Children will need to work out how to approach the problem and discuss any known time facts. Clues are given to help the children work through the problem and the method and answer are presented at the end.
