The BRICS were once a beacon of hope for the world economy, lifting millions out of poverty and driving growth across the world. What went wrong?

When Jim O'Neill of Goldman Sachs first coined the acronym BRICS to describe the rapidly growing economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa they were great engines of economic growth in the world. Not any more. Today Business Daily asks Mr O'Neill what he thinks has gone wrong.
