Sickle Cell

Toby Friedner asks - what's your experience of Sickle Cell Disease?

What's your experience of Sickle Cell Disease?

July is Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

The condition affects about 12,500 people in the UK and is now one of the country's most commonly inherited conditions, with rates as high as 1 in 300 babies born with it in some areas.

This week we'll find out what it is, how it affects people and meet those who have it.

We'll also find out what support is available in Beds, Herts and Bucks.

And as always we want to hear from you. If you have experience of Sickle Cell or know someone who has call 08459 455 555, text 81333 or get in touch at facebook.com/大象传媒3CR.
