Sarah Jory
Devon's Sarah Jory is a multi-instrumentalist enjoying 35 years in the music industry.

She plays steel guitar, acoustic guitar, slide guitar, dobro, banjo, mandolin as well as lead and harmony vocals.

Sarah has performed and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Elkie Brooks, Ricky Skaggs, Gene Watson, Glen Campbell, Kenny Rogers, Charlie Pride, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Water Boys, Daniel O Donnell and even ‘Bob The Builder’.

Over the past couple of months she's been part of the backing band on ´óÏó´«Ã½ TV's The Voice UK.

She'll be here to tell us all about it, share cake and perform live.

Jake Downs

Jake Downs
Last weekend, young Devon musician Jake Downs was playing viola in London for Totnes band Matthew and Me.

Today, he's joining JG to perform live for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Devon audience with his voice and Celtic harp!

Jake is classically trained and currently studying music at Oxford but his first love is pop music and his new single, Crave, comes out next month (August 19th).

The video for Crave was shot entirely in monochrome and is heavily incluenced by 20th century European film.

This is a return visit for Jake and we're looking forward to finding out what's happened since his last visit to the studio.

Max Lewin

Max Lewin
Exmouth musician Max Lewin started playing drums when he was just eight years old.

Since then he's become an accomplished songwriter, guitarist and singer.

He says his music is "alternative acoustic when playing live, however when recording I experiment with a vast range of instruments, creating different styles and genres."

Max is hoping to recruit a band to help him perform his recorded sounds live.

We'll hear him perform on today's show.

Around Britain 4 Britain

Around Britain 4 Britain
It's time, once again, to catch up with AB4B - the challenge by two Devon couples to make their way around the UK coastline by kayak - cleaning up beaches along the way.

Things have changed since we first heard from them back in June and we'll find out how the challenge has gone when we speak to them again in the first hour of this morning's show.

AB4B have a page on , you can also follow them on or on their own .

Special Olympics Plymouth and District

Special Olympics Plymouth and District
Special Olympics is the third arm of the Olympic Organisation, part of the Olympic family but without such a high profile or funding.

Maureen Stockdale has been running SOPD as a sports and social club for the best part of two years now.

It provides; "pathways for competition, integration and inclusion. Breaking down barriers and prejudice that people with a learning disability live with every day," she says.

In 2009 only ONE athlete from the Plymouth & District area attended the Special Olympics National Games in Leicester (2800 athletes from Britain competed).

But the club has gone from strength to strength and 2013 is SOPD's BIG year - they will be taking 33 athletes - plus 20 support people - to the SOGB National Games in Bath in August.

We'll meet some of the members and find out much more.

New Model Theatre

New Model Theatre

New Model Theatre is a theatre company based in Plymouth.

The company is currently touring its new show - 'Static' - to fringe festivals up and down the country.

We'll meet writer and director Tom Nicholas and performer Hugh McCann before they head off to Camden and Edinburgh.
