Aberdeen in Scotland is where Britain's energy revolution began almost 40 years ago, under the North Sea. It is now a global centre of oil engineering.
In this week鈥檚 Global Business, Peter Day reports from Aberdeen in Scotland, which for 40 years has thrived and flourished on North Sea oil and gas. When they started pumping the oil almost four decades ago, most experts expected it to run out by the end of the 1990s. But North Sea energy production is still in business, and Aberdeen has become a global centre of oil engineering.
