The novelist and poet Mich猫le Roberts, presenter of Absinthe Makes the Art Grow Fonder, has her first taste of the drink that inspired the bohemian artists of the late 19th century, destroyed some and was eventually banned.

She is initiated into its mysteries by George Rowley, absinthe entrepreneur, and Jad Adams, author of a history of absinthe.
