Humble beginnings: Leicester's first church home in the front room
Leicester's Caribbean Carnival is approaching, just weeks after the 65th anniversary of the West Indian Windrush passengers.
´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Leicester are taking a look back at the Caribbean contribution to Leicester – this week, faith.
Since the 1960s many black churches and congregations started out in front rooms, much like the very first black congregation in Leicester.
Wesleyan Holiness Church has been going for over 50 years and Pastor Melford Roberts, joins ´óÏó´«Ã½ Leicester presenter Dulcie Dixon to share some memories.
