The National Theatre honours Black artists contribution to the stage
The National Theatre has been holding a week of talks called Walking The Light, honouring the rich contribution that black artists have made to British theatre over the past 50 years -- featuring a line-up of actors, writers and directors including David Harewood, Lenny Henry and Bonnie Greer.
In this clip Bonnie, an African American playwright, speaks to 大象传媒 UK Black just before she took her seat on the stage.
She says the future of black theatrical contribution now, lies in the hands of young people who can have both worlds - black theatre success AND mainstream.
