John Rudge: A Valiant Potter
Perry chats to local football legend John Rudge, who has been involved in Stoke-on-Trent's footballing fortunes for 33 years. Rudge joined Port Vale as a coach in 1980, and was made manager in 1983. His time with The Valiants saw the club rise through the divisions over the next 16 years before he crossed the divide in the city to join their great rivals Stoke City in 1999.
As Director of Football with The Potters he helped transform the club's fortunes behind the scenes and Stoke are now an established Premier League side. He left the club in May 2013, so what does the future hold?
