Organiser defends 'voluntary' fee to attend carnival - Nottingham
The organisers of Nottingham's Caribbean carnival are defending a voluntary admission fee being levied for the first time.
It鈥檚 believed Nottingham is the first city to ask revellers to contribute 拢1 to attend.
Despite calls for a boycott of the event as a result, carnival chairman Richard Renwick tells 大象传媒 Nottingham鈥檚 Reya El-Salahi that it is necessary.
