Highlights from the live show in Topsham on 7th Sept 2013
Duration: 53:46
Alex Kumar
When Alex Kumar first appeared on JG's show, he was just听16 years old.
The singer songwriter from Topsham blew everyone away with his rendition of a self-penned song called "1963" and John has invited him back听to perform听again.
Alex has now turned 17 and his mission is to keep the blues alive following in the footsteps of the likes of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Bob Dylan.
Don't miss him on today's show.
Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin
They've performed around the globe from Nashville to The Royal Albert Hall and they have recently released their latest album "Mynd".
Possibly two of the most versatile musicians, and frequent visitors to the JG show, they'll be chatting about their plans and performing live on today's show.
Alistair Brammer
If you're a theatre goer, you may have seen Alistair (from Exmouth) in the West End production of Michael Morpurgo's Warhorse. He has played both Billy and Albert in the show.
If you're a cinema-goer, you may have seen him playing the part of Jean Prouvaire in the 2012 big screen version of Les Miserables.
He's back in Devon for a break and听will be joining the line-up on stage to chat about his career - and a concert he's taking part in this November - and to perform a song from Les Mis.
The Billycocks
Robert Seymour and Daveid Harflett are The Billycocks.
The duo are passionate about folk music and perform traditional songs in a light and entertaining way.
All of their songs tell stories - some of them a bit colourful, but then that's folk, folks!
And in case you were wondering, a Billycock is a hat.
Low Tide Theory
Johnnie Campbell, Paul Robinson and Chris Gooderham听perform as electronic- synthpop band Low Tide Theory.
听
They list - among their influences - the likes of OMD, New Order, Pet Show Boys, Gary Numan, The Stranglers, Tears For Fears and many more.
They'll be making the journey from the small north Devon village of Bishop's Tawton to join us in Topsham to chat and perform live on today's show.
Appaloosas
Eliza Acty, Peter Acty听and Stephen Potter听come from the wild, wild west...... of Dartmoor!
Together they perform American Roots, Old-Time and Appalachian - rooted in songs and tunes carried by settlers from the British Isles, familiar musical home comforts for generations of emigrants.
They'll get your feet tapping on today's show.
Alan West and Steve Black
Alan acknowledged the potential in Steve鈥檚 songwriting ability and soon included some of his songs in his live set.
Steve鈥檚 background lies in theatre, television and radio - although he has performed over 5000 live gigs all over the world.
He's written for many top comedians and has had numerous plays performed all around the UK.
They'll be performing live on stage in the marquee at Darts Farm today.
Also on the show
We'll talk to some of the team who help keep the Devon Air Ambulance flying - and hear from former patients too.
