Boo Hewerdine interview
Tom chats with British singer-songwriter and producer Boo Hewerdine. He's just released an album with American acoustic guitarist and performer Brooks Williams.
His first taste of success came with The Bible in the mid-1980's. He was the singer and creative force behind the 4 piece, and they became a fairly successful independent band. In 1990, he decided to leave the band to pursue solo projects.
As his career developed, he started writing for other artists, including K.d. Lang, Paul Young, David McAlmont and Natalie Imbruglia. He has also produced records by several artists, including a long association with Eddi Reader.
His work with Brooks Williams is under the name State Of The Union, and they released the self-titled debut album in 2011. The new album Snake Oil came out in July.
