Hamble Lifeboat
We've all heard of the RNLI, but they are just one of the organisations that provide a search and rescue service along the coast.
There are a number of independent lifeboats, whose crews work tirelessly all year round.
One such crew are based on the River Hamble. The Hamble Lifeboat was set up in 1968, and now they are actively looking for volunteers to join the crew.
Chief coxwain Dave King told our reporter Neil Sackley about the boats they have at their disposal.
