The Chancellor and Tatton MP George Osborne is to order an independent inquiry into how Paul Flowers was deemed a suitable chairman for the Manchester-based Co-Operative Bank.It's also expected to look into whether the bank's recent leadership crisis has had an impact on customers.

He's stepped down as chairman of Co-Op Bank - and also as deputy chairman of the Co-op group.
