The Asian contribution to the World Wars

Every year thousands of people attend Remembrance Day services, to pay their respects to the nation's war dead.

Fighting alongside the British soldiers in both World Wars were more than four million South Asians, who were enlisted into the British Indian Army.

A historian is now looking to find out more about the contributions made by Hindu and Muslim soldiers in particular.
