Brazil Balance
In light of accusations of racism strongly denied by FIFA, two light skinned Brazilians hosted the World Cup draw on Friday in favour of two Afro-Brazilians. The event took place in Bahia state, the place considered to have the strongest African influence on Brazilian culture. We explore the ethnic make-up of Brazil and the effect that not only football has on Brazilian national identity, but what hosting the World Cup means too
