Are antidepressants prescribed too freely?

Around one in six adults now take anti-depressants according to The Health and Social Care Information Centre.

50 million prescriptions were issued in 2012, the highest number ever and 7.5% up on the year before.

Today we'll hear from a Hitchin man who's been on them for 11 years and will continue to take them, he says, for the rest of his life. And from a local GP to explain why they're prescribed so readily.
