Quick Tips

Ìý

You can get head lice by being in contact with somebody who has them. They can’t jump or fly, but they can crawl very quickly.

Ìý

You might have head lice if you have an itchy head, but you might not itch, so make sure you check anyway.

Ìý

The two best ways to kill them are:

Ìý

  • A special head lice lotion which you can buy from most chemists, or ask your GP.
  • Wet combing, using a special ‘nit comb’ and a normal conditioner.
    Ìý

Make sure the whole family is treated.
