Why do the Geneva talks matter to you?

As peace talks between the Syrian government get underway, we hear from people who talk of their hopes of the outcome.

The Geneva II peace conference began today with Syrian government and their main political opposition aiming to negotiate a way of bringing peace to the country. The conflict has left more than 100,000 dead and millions have been displaced. Forty foreign ministers will speak at the conference before direct talks on Syria commence on Friday.
