The hidden history of slavery in Britain's countryside

The film Twelve Years a Slave has received nine nominations for the Oscars in March. But away from the glitz and glam of award ceremonies, the film has ignited an interest in the legacy of slavery in this country. Dr Susanne Seymour from the University of Nottingham's School of Geography has been researching the hidden history of slavery in Britain's countryside. In this extract, she speaks to the 大象传媒's Reya El-Salahi about her work.
