Appeal for ethnic minority ambulance volunteers
A Leicester man is calling for black people to volunteer as Community First Responders, attending 999 calls in their community and treat patients while paramedics travel to the scene. The East Midlands Racial Equality Service in partnership with East Midlands Ambulance Service have set up the first Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Community First Responder scheme in Leicestershire. In this extract Kirit Mistry, who is coordinating the volunteer schemes, speaks to the 大象传媒's Kevin Ncube.
