It's a homecoming for Robert Powell, who started his career at Newcastle's old theatre-in-the-round in the early 1970s and he later starred in The Thirty Nine Steps and Jesus of Nazareth as well as lighter roles such as Jasper Carrott's partner in the police comedy series The Detectives. Gary Mavers starred as Dr Andrew Attwood in ITV's Peak Practice.
