Ageing Population

Are ageing populations a burden for economies and employers in industrialised countries? Or, do they represent a blessing that should be more widely recognised?

He speaks to renowned anthropologist Jared Diamond about how tribal societies deal with their aged. We hear from Germany, which has the most advanced demographics of any major European country. And Ed speaks to Sir Ian Cheshire, the boss of the major European retailer Kingfisher, about why he actively seeks out older workers to man his stores.
