100 years ago at the outbreak of WWI, Coventry had a mayor called Siegfried Bettmann, he was the founder of Coventry's Triumph motorcycles, a respected business man, a much loved honorary Coventarian. But also unfortunately for him a German. Using extracts from his diary and visits to the places that he called home, Phil Upton found out more about this fascinating man and his war story.
