Ugandan FM: US threats to cut aid over anti-gay law “unfortunate”
The US ambassador in Kampala, Scott DeLisi, has urged the Ugandan government to repeal the new anti-gay law. He said the US needed much clearer guidance about the law before the US could decide whether to continue its aid programmes, particularly for HIV/AIDS. The Ugandan foreign minister, Sam Kutesa, gave his response.
